Strategic Development Framework

SMART vs. SMET

Transforming Passive Knowledge into Vocational Action

The 3D Evolution

In the 3D Life Strategies framework, we recognize that standard SMART goals often lack the spiritual urgency and holistic integration required for true talent stewardship. We move from the secular standard to a higher-order commitment.

The Foundation: SMART

  • Specific: Clear and defined.
  • Measurable: Trackable progress.
  • Attainable: Realistic and reachable.
  • Relevant: Aligns with your values.
  • Time-bound: Has a deadline.

The 3D Standard: SMET

  • Specific: Precisely targeted.
  • Measurable: Quantifiable ROI for the Kingdom.
  • Essential: Crucial to your unique design.
  • Timed: Built for the 12-Week Adventure.

The Shift in Perspective

Secular Relevant vs. Kingdom Essential

"Is it just a good idea, or is it the GOD idea for this season?"

Standard goals are Relevant if they make sense for your career or bank account. SMET goals are Essential if they utilize the KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) you identified in your Discovery phase. If it doesn't build the Kingdom, it's vanity.

Time-Bound vs. Timed Stewardship

"Deadlines create pressure; Timing creates rhythms."

SMART uses Time-bound to set an end date. SMET uses Timed to integrate the goal into the 12-Week Adventure cycle. We don't just want it done; we want it to become a sustainable habit in your 3D life (Body, Mind, Spirit).
